Ring and neckless set
Attitude and extra charges
I purchased a ring and neckless set for my wife at Xmas and when she opened it on Xmas day found that the ring was too small and needed resizing. Upon taking it back to the store we were comfronted by a very agressive female shop assistant who talked down to us as if we were trying to cause trouble. We asked to have the reing resizes an were told in no uncertain terms that there would be a charge to have it attended to and even though the store had sold us goods that were not fit for purpose it was our problem to have it rectified and not theirs. It is dissapointing to be treated like this even though the item was not the most exspensive in the store we were made to look like we were cheap skates for not buying something more expensive. the cost of having the item brought to a usable condition was 25% of the total cost and I only paid it because my wife had taken a liking to the set of jewlery and it would be a shame to give it back and start again. I know opposition firms who size rings as part of the purchase and will make sure from now on I will deal with them. I will also mention this to anyone if we are talking about the subject.
