Just want to provide feedback on service received at KFC, St Lukes, Auckland.
On Friday 7 October at 3pm myself and family were lining up to order a meal.
There was an elderly gentlemen on at the counter who was also waiting be served, though our line appeared to be moving quicker.
Once at the front of the line i mentioned to the staff member whose name was 'Toral' that the gentlemen was there before me. She responded with signalling for me to place the order. At this time i was calling to the gentlemen if he wanted to order (he appeared slow to respond), which was when the staff(and another) said he's already ordered.
I was now ready to order, however Toral persisted by saying "when i say next please that means next customer has to place there order" in a very condescending tone (while i was with my family). Not once but possible twice after the initial time she wanted to remind me when she says to place an order that when i place an order, etc. This when i was looking the menu making up my mind, etc.
I would have let the incident pass if weren't for her persistent remarks of telling me to order or when it's the time to do so. As a manager myself i don't accept my staff or anyone to be subjected to such poor customer service and being spoken to in the tone that Toral used and in front of my family and other customers in the line. I was appalled and then requested to speak to her manager Shyam.
After mentioning my experience to Shyam, she nodded and smiled which i assume that she received the message, not sure if by now i had any level of expectation for service. However in closing said that i will raise this on email and i want this to be dealt with appropriately.
After which i still placed my order at another counter, the staff member here was Sian who was very professional and had great customers service.
I would like to hear to back from an appropriate person regards to the level of service experienced at St Lukes, KFC or see that the owner is notified, plus what has been done since raising this with the present manager at the time Shyam.
Look forward to hearing from you.
